Assembling A Pool Table

how much can i get for a 1970’s gandy hustler pool table 3 piece slate (1″) in great condition?

I have asked this question and only had one answer so far. i received it already disassembled and i have all the pieces down to the last screw. i just dont know whether i can sell it as is for a good price or if it would be wiser to pay someone to assemble it professionally and then sell it. it would be easier to transport already disassembled in my mind. it has an orange felt that was removed but i still have it. its a full size gandy hustler and the slates are really heavy. i’m hoping to get at least 1500 for it but if anyone thinks other wise please let me know. if you need pictures to see i have them as well of it disassembled. thanks if i can sell it my wife will let me use the money to buy a better tv so i’m sure you can understand my motivation haha.

I googled your table and didn’t come up with much more than the question you posted.

First of all, the color of the felt is of no import because once it is disassembled and moved it will have to be re-felted at its new location.

I would take pictures of it “before” you disassemble it so they’re available to an interested party.

You can type in the name of the pool table on Ebay to see if there’s anything like it selling right now. That will give you some idea as to what that model of table is going for. You can also post the pictures of it on www.craigslist.net in your area and see if you get any offers close to what you asking.

Anybody in the know will tell you it’s going to cost them between $250 and $350 to have it re-felted, and they aren’t too far off the mark there. So, I would say you would do well to get $1,000 to $1,200 for the table. Let me know if you’re anywhere close to Florida. I may be interested. opulentme@hotmail.com
