Basement Drain Tile
How do I repair water damaged wood panelling?
The panelling is in a basement rec room about 3 inches up from the floor. I have had drain tiles replaced and now I need to repair the panelling.
You have to replace the paneling or at least cut out the bad up to the undamaged. If it is not too high you might get by with installing a 3.5 – 4 inch kick molding. Stain or paint to match.
If not… start shopping for wall finishes.
Check with your insurance. If replacement costs are more than your deductable… File a claim.
