Basement Floor Repair
Conc. basement floor, want to repair and lay carpet down, cost?
I’m about to buy a duplex. The basement has an uneven concrete floor. would like to even it out, and lay down a nice, plush carpet. may use it as a bedroom. would like to find out how much i’m going to spend? The space is only 10 feet by 16 feet wide. how much is the concrete going to be? laying the carpet? and work? and how long would something like this take. HELP!
The ceiling is 10 feet high. this is a new condo conversion. so i should find out what the county is saying about it being a bedroom before i buy? or do you think that it’s already passed inspection? they are selling it as a “master bedroom”. but i wasn’t sure if i wanted to use it as that or just an office. the floor has some dips due to some sloppy work. some recent posts were poured in place. conc. was not cleaned up very well. general floor area looks level.
carpet u need 22 sq yds- avg. $ 25.00 per yd installed = $550.00
if the dips in concrete floor r less than 1/2″,the flooring guy can float the floor with a concrete patch about $ 250.00….
if u make it a bedroom, u will need anther way out of the room other than the bedroom door, a window, check ur codes for ur sizes…
