Basement Rec Rooms
Rec room ceiling alternatives…?
I’m building a basement rec room and was wondering if anyone has any alternative methods for a ceiling other than a drop ceiling or dry wall – any ideas??? I’m trying to be creative.
When I redecorated the basement rec room for a friend of mine, her goal was to muffle noise as this was to be the new social gathering place for her teens and their friends. We stapled egg crates and sprayed them black.
You can actually get as creative as your wallet allows, I suppose. A friend told me he wants to order something that resembles diamondplate to do his…it’s in a racing theme, naturally.
Another friend has a side field full of wild bamboo and decided to do hers in an island theme. Whatever you choose, good luck! That’s the fun of decorating. You can always change it out later.
