Basement Water Damage
How do you dry out a keyboard with internal water damage? (if it’s possible)?
My basement got flooded and like an idiot took my phone down the stairs when I went to clean up the water. My phone fell in the water and stopped working. I put it in rice and eventually it started to work again, but non of the keys are working, except the power button. I think there might be some internal water damage or something like that. If it matters the phone is a samsung sgh-e335 from t-mobile. Any help would be great.
That’s exactly what happened to my phone. Stick it in rice and try to get most of the water out for a few hours.
Then use a hair dryer if you have one. DO NOT take your phone apart. Set the heat on high and heat your phone until you start to see your screen fog, and then take off the heat and repeat. Leave it near a window if you can, or put it out in the sun for a little bit. If your screen is fogging up, it’s working. It took a day or two to completely dry my phone but afterwards everything worked.
