Cheap Foosball Table
soundproofing an existing apartment wall?
I share just one wall with my neighbor. The walls are decently insulated, but I can hear moderate sounds through the wall, (loud tv..etc). This does not bother me, but I have a foosball table in that room and i know they can hear it. Since I cant destroy the wall, what is a cheap soundproofing material that I can put up on the wall that can be easily removed when i move out?
You could put up acoustical ceiling tiles using a glue gun. You would have to sand the glue afterwards. Not really difficult and then you’d likely have to paint.
SoundStop also makes panels. I believe they make ones that do not have to be attached. Almost like you see in office cubicles. But that may be out of your budget range.
I wrote an eHow article on ways that I have soundproofed rooms in our house. We have two children under 3 years old. So keeping things quiet when they are sleeping is important.
