Exterior Basement Waterproofing
Whats a good way to clean exterior basement wall for waterproofing?
Without a power washer, and only a steel brush. It was about 50 degrees last night, cloudy and cold this morning too, so the mud is still wet, making it difficult to brush off. Need some ideas to make this a bit faster. I need to get the waterproofing onto a clean surface and done by tonight.
If you are sealing your walls then you need to disinfect it with either bleach & water or some mold and bacteria prevention chemical. A ton of elbow grease but a lot less regret later.
You should use a pretty thick brush to apply it and let it stand for an hour or so after application. The fact that the mud is still wet….well that means you need to wait. If its not dry,……….then the waterproofing sealant may not do its job.
You need it done by tonight……..probably not gonna happen if you want it done right. That mud NEEDS to dry.
