Contractor messed up my foundation can I sue for damages??
I hired a contractor to install egress windows into my basement foundation. They ended up cracking the foundation and now my basement floods everytime it rains…..The catch is that they did the work over a year ago, can I still use them given the time length. I though the water was coming in from elsewhere considering that I had just purchased the home shortly before I hired the contractors. It wasn’t until I tore down the wall, ect to repair and fix the problem that I saw the cracked and missing chucks of foundation around the window. Which makes sense because it only floods in the two room where the windows were added. I took pictures of the damage. What can I do about this?
Course you can sue him. I’m sure if he’s done this to you, a lawyer will be able to proove he’s done it to other people too to strengthen your case. Can you provide that information? Where did you find him, was he referred?
He has caused you to have to pay for things that were not done right in the first place.
Sounds like you’ve spend a lot of money to discover the root cause of the problem (what he did).
