Period help?? I am afraid to move around too much?
Ok i am 12 and i just started my first period two days ago. I told my mom just to let you know, but it is super early now, and she is not up yet and this issue is worrying me. Ok my mom, friends, and i are going somewhere today, and it hasn’t stopped yet. I know i have to give it sometime, but it is kind of heavy. Its like when i lay down it doesn’t leak as much, but right when i stand up and start walking, it starts to pour! I am afraid that if we go somewhere it will over flow while i am walking. Btw the place i am going to it has a game room so i am going to be moving a lot. i can just feel it going around everywhere. And I don’t have tampons, they creep me out anyways lol.Help! BTW if this helps i am 5″0 108 lbs When do you think it will be over? It so annoying!

Hey I have exactly the same problem! I have a really heavy period and it just seems like it’s gushing out whenever I walk or do anything!
My solution: go buy a pair of dark coloured bike pants to wear on top of your normal underwear–> bikepants are really skin tight, so don’t show under your clothing- I can even wear them under my skinny jeans. They hold the pad really close to your body so the pad doesn’t move around all the time, and stays in place. The material they are made of also catches any accidental leaks on the sides, front or back and the leaks don’t go through the material.
I seriously wear bike pants throughout my whole period, because the pressure it applies to your body also makes it not feel as weird when you have your period.
P.S. Cool thing about having a heavy period- first few days will be really heavy, then after that you nearly forget about it because it goes really light. Also try and find pads that are meant for a smaller figure- e.g. Libra hearts pads are one of the most body hugging ones out there. I use Stayfree now, because I grew out of the Libra ones. Find pads that have wings- they secure the pad to your underwear and stop them from moving around. If it’s really heavy, buy super pads. These have much more absorption ability and will reduce the chance of a leak.
