Bionic Commando: Rearmed or Castle Crashers?
I have 1600 MS points and want to get an XBLA game. It’ll probably be between BC:R and CC, but you can suggest any others that you’d recommend.
I really liked how Bionic Commando plays and looks and it’s cheaper than Castle Crashers. And CC is a fun game too, but looks kinda repetitive (run into blocked off room, kill 10 people, repeat) from what I played in the demo…
I personally liked CC better, simply because it seemed to be a better value. It has 4 player multiplayer (although with some online problems that are currently being worked out) and some light RPG elements like leveling and collecting weapons. Plus Dan Paladin’s very funny and distinct artistic style. It is a bit repetitive in a Golden Axe sort of way, but very fun with other people.
I played the original BC on the nes way back in teh day, but as a 2008 game, I couldn’t really get readjusted. The big issue for me was the archaic control setup.
Both are good games for the money, so you probably won’t be disapppointed either way.
