Immigration To America
What are some things that the government is or isn’t doing about illegal immigration in America?
I’m trying to write a paper about where the government’s actions on a certain problem are different from what the people want according to public opinion polls. The public opinion polls say that most Americans think that the government isn’t doing enough, so I need to know what they are doing.
They are implementing new programs like 287g and using e-verify more. They are cracking down on employers who hire illegal aliens, but not enough to drive them back to their homelands. They are not enforcing enough laws on the illegal aliens themselves. They have discontinued raids which were making a difference. They are allowing illegals to get by with crimes that put citizens behind bars. They are not prosecuting groups and people who are aiding and abetting these illegal aliens. They have not put the military on our southern border as they were suppose to do last year. They have not finished the fence.
