Real Commercial Plumbing Contractors – What You Should Look For
Commercial plumbing contractors should of course have current liability insurance, workers compensation insurance and plenty of commercial plumbing references. But what really separates good commercial plumbing contractors from the fly-by-night plumbers, is the equipment. Commercial plumbing contractors have to have a number of very expensive assets in order to perform commercial plumbing.
They will have a few $50,000 tow behind jetters to clean large diameter pipes and will also have a few $20,000 sewer pipe inspection video cameras, and they will also have at least one $200,000 hydrovac, that can vacuum out large diameter sewer pipes. Many commercial plumbers / contractors will also own a $100,000 sewer pipe camera van, with a self-propelled tractor sewer pipe inspection camera for large diameter pipes.
And lastly, modern commercial plumbing contractors will also own all the technology to perform cured-in-place pipe lining to replace pipes without trenching (trenchless pipe lining), and that technology runs around $200,000. So now you also understand why commercial plumbing repair service can be so expensive.
