Wet Room Tanking
What size return pump do I need in my sump?
I have a 140 Gallon Tank and a 37 gallon acrylic sump. My overflow box is a single with a 1″ PVC returning down to the sump. I had a external 500GPH pump that failed.
So I was wondering instead of running an external pump along with PVC,hoses and leaks, I would put in an internal submersible pump in the sump and use that as my return pump.
I know a lot people do it, but I’m trying to figure out how big of a return pump would I need.
Last thing I want is a wet living room.
If your old 500gph pump was ok before then just use the same size submersible or slightly larger.
